I use Google Analytics and collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit the Site (“Log Data”), especially to ensure the safety of my website. This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s IP (Internet Protocol) address, browser type, browser version, location, the pages of the Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics. My website protection tools might automatically report inappropriate IP addresses to third-party services (iThemes) and will block them for a length of time necessary to protect the site based on the number of other sites that have seen a similar attack.
The IP address of visitors, user ID of logged in users, and username of login attempts are conditionally logged to check for malicious activity and to protect the site from specific kinds of attacks. Examples of conditions when logging occurs include login attempts, log out requests, requests for suspicious URLs, changes to site content, and password updates. This information is retained for 14 days.
This site is part of a network of sites that protect against distributed brute force attacks. To enable this protection, the IP address of visitors attempting to log into the site is shared with a service provided by ithemes.com.
